Safety Tips for the 4th of July!

Hello! The IRES team wish you and yours the most fun-filled, memorable and a safe 4th of July!!  There are so many reasons why this holiday isn’t just about grilling, fireworks, and beverages.  This holiday is about our country’s birthday. 1776!!  In addition, celebrating this holiday it is a way to show our appreciation and to celebrate our veterans, fire-fighters, police officers, active duty men and women.  These brave men and women should be celebrated, thanked, and of course, respected for defending our freedom, and our country.

Now…  Moving on to fireworks safety tips….

Fireworks Safety Tips

  • 1st and most important; use common sense when using fireworks.
  • Never throw or point a firework toward people, animals, vehicles, structures or flammable materials.
  • Always have a hose or bucket of water available.
  • Use fireworks as intended. Do not alter or combine them.
  • Never relight dud fireworks. Wait 20 minutes then soak them.
  • Your guest should keep a safe distance.
  • Have a designated shooter… No Alcohol, and the shooter(s) should wear safety glasses.

Moving on to the grilling safety tips….

Grilling Safety Tips

  • Be sure to supervise the grill while in use.  Make sure that children and pets are not near the grill.
  • Use long-handled tools. Assuming you’re grilling veggies along with different meat, please keep your grilling tools separated to avoid cross contamination.
  • Don’t add fuel to the fire.  Meaning, if the coals are hot, do not add starter fluid to the BBQ pit!!
  • Also make sure that your grill isn’t near or under a tree.
  • Make sure the chef du jour has a sous chef to provide him or her with plenty of water.  It’s going to be hot one this year.  Be safe, and stay hydrated.  And don’t forget the sunscreen!!

And please remember, we are never too busy for your referrals.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me or my team regarding any questions.  We are here to help!

Las Vegas 4th of July Events 2014

Happy 4th of July from the IRES Team!! Make some memories!

Happy 4th of July from the IRES Team!! Let’s make some memories!

IRES team and I want to wish you a very happy and safe 4th of July and also take this time to share something with you…. As all of my team members have a soft spot in their hearts when it comes to 4th of July, I have one team member in particular would like me to share her fond memories of  4th of July.

4th of July is her grandfather’s birthday, an amazing, kind man as she describes him. She LIGHTS up, and tears up, just talking about when her family would celebrate these two remarkable events, all in ONE day.  To her, it is fitting that his birthday fell on this noble and prideful day.  Long story short…  Her grandparent’s estate was on 800 acres in rural Southern Illinois, just out-side of St Louis.  I mention their estate because it had a very large lake where she, her little brother and grandfather would take a boat to what they thought was the center of the lake, and shoot off the fireworks for their family members who were perched lake side, birthday cake in hand.  She LIGHTS up when she describes the fireworks.  But not the ones in the air, but those reflected on the lake.  With that said, I want us all to make memoriesMemories that will make YOU light up and are so remarkable that you may one day tear up while reflecting.

From the IRES team, thank you, HAPPY 4th of JULY, enjoy and be safe!!
